| Throughout
the year, The Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department
offers various poetry events under the theme of POETRY
REVEALED. The POETRY REVEALED series includes
monthly open mic night, poetry on your plate series, Carrboro
Day readings, and the "West End Poets Festival".

Open Mic Night
Join Carrboro Recreation and
Parks Department and The Open Eye Cafe  the
first Tuesday of each month* for POETS
OPEN MIC NIGHT.

Open Eye Cafe
101 South Greensboro St. Carrboro
7:00pm-9:00pm
*no open mic is held in June,July
and August
This is a night where poets can
engage with others and share the power and diversity
of poetry. This events provides a venue for people to
celebrate, share, encourage, write, read, and listen
to poetry.

Poetry On Your Plate
co-sponsored with the Carrboro Cybrary
Celebrate National Poetry Month with a menu of local
poets reading their works. On Thursdays at noon at the
Century Center, bring your lunch, enjoy coffee from

Carrboro Day Readings
Carrboro Day is an annual Town
of Carrboro Celebration that is held on the first
Sunday in May. Local poets of all ages gather together
to share their original works.
